JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kaman Aerosystems (Kaman) announced that their Jacksonville business unit has successfully secured a contract extension for the E-2D and C-2A Outer Wing Panel Program. The extension is for an additional three years (2015-2018) with an expected value of over $11 million for the fabrication and supply of sheet metal and extrusion parts to CPI Aerostructures, Inc. (CPI).
“Kaman is pleased to continue our relationship with CPI on this program, as it is significant work for our fabrication shop,” stated Will Zmyndak, vice president and general manager for Kaman Aerosystems’ Integrated Structures and Metallics business unit. “The E-2D Advanced Hawkeye is an important U.S. Navy production program and Kaman is proud to be a part of it.”
All parts delivered by Kaman are manufactured at its Kaman Aerosystems facility in Jacksonville, Florida. These sheet metal and extrusion-fabricated parts are integral to support the assembly of the E-2D’s and C-2A’s outer wing panels. CPI kits the parts provided by Kaman and others and then provides the parts to Northrop Grumman Corp.
This award continues Kaman’s long-term relationship with CPI on the E-2D and C-2A Outer Wing Panel program that dates back to 2008.
