Pennsylvania Rural Water Association Announces First Participation in New Program with HomeServe USA to Offer Home Repair Service Plans

BELLFONTE, Pa.--()--The Pennsylvania Rural Water Association (PRWA), the association that provides services and benefits to the water and wastewater utilities throughout the Commonwealth, today announced the first participants in its partnership with HomeServe USA (HomeServe), a leading provider of home repair service plans. Beginning next month, two PRWA member utilities, the Township of Falls Authority and Altoona Water Authority will begin offering their customers optional water, sewer and in-home plumbing protection plans from HomeServe.

The affordable service plans provided through HomeServe offer homeowners a better way to pay for and deal with the expense and inconvenience of home repair emergencies. Township of Falls and Altoona Water Authority join a growing number of municipalities and agencies in Pennsylvania and around the country offering these types of optional service plans to their customers with HomeServe.

“When a water line breaks or sewer line gets blocked, the first place homeowners turn for a solution or recommendation is often their local municipality or utility,” said Tom Rusin, CEO of HomeServe USA. “We are pleased to provide homeowners with peace of mind, while also providing PRWA member utilities with a critical customer service resource.”

“We are thrilled to now have our members taking advantage of the partnership with HomeServe, a company recognized for providing best in class emergency repair plans and customer support for our member utilities,” said Joseph Falcone, Executive Director, CFO, PRWA. “Our vision in equipping our members with service plans for their customers is to further enhance the customer service experience by providing solutions for their customer household water, sewer and plumbing line emergencies.”

HomeServe plan holders have access to a Repair Hotline that is accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to schedule local, licensed, and insured contractors to their home for repairs.

The Township of Falls Authority and Altoona Falls Authority will soon notify their local residents of these optional service plans to local residents, including Exterior Water Service Line Coverage, Sewer/Septic Line coverage and Interior Plumbing and Drainage System Coverage.

PRWA member utilities can learn more about the partnership by calling Daniel Guest at HomeServe on 1-786-972-1007 or visiting www.prwa.com/Homeserve.
