MASHANTUCKET, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Foxwoods® Resort Casino, the Northeast’s premier hotel, gaming, shopping and entertainment destination, announced today that world-renowned magician and illusionist Criss Angel will return to the resort next week to host a free public escape demonstration by “The Illusionist” Landon Swank, one of the stars in his live magic ensemble, The SUPERNATURALISTS.
In advance of CRISS ANGEL STARRING In The SUPERNATURALISTS™ exclusive limited engagement at Foxwoods’ Fox Theater November 11th- 15th, and again December 16th-20th, Landon Swank will attempt what only Criss Angel has been able to accomplish…an escape from an Oriental Torture Rack. Created in the mid-1900s by escape artist Clevedore, who was never able to successfully escape his own creation, who debuted the death-defying torture device to rival Houdini (who wouldn’t even attempt it). Criss Angel successfully escaped a more complicated model of the rack (modified by him) containing five locks, stories above a pit of feeding alligators. Now Landon Swank will try to master this demonstration, hanging high within Foxwoods’ Grand Pequot Ballroom. The device itself is designed to put the artist in the most painful position and unlike a typical escape, this demonstration has multiple elements of danger; if anything goes wrong during Landon’s attempt, he could fall to the ground causing permanent injury…or even death.
