1st Global Launches New Survey Exploring Gen Next CPAs

Initiative seeks to uncover what attracts and motivates young CPA leaders

DALLAS--()--1st Global, a research and consulting partner to CPA wealth managers, has launched a new survey exploring how to best guide, develop and motivate the next generation of CPA leaders. The anonymous 10-minute survey seeks to identify what CPA firms need to do to attract, engage and retain Gen X and millennial CPA talent.

“Younger generations of CPAs are changing the dynamics of tax and accounting firms and rewriting the playbook for future success,” 1st Global President David Knoch said. “This next generation of entrepreneurial CPAs is embracing inventive ideas as well as technology and business models that could potentially turn the profession on its head.”

The Gen Next CPA: Attracting, Motivating and Partnering with Gen X and Millennial Talent survey is intended to gather valuable perspective from both sides of the aisle — older and younger generations — on how young CPAs are both impacting and being impacted by the accounting profession as a whole.

1st Global values the time and powerful insight of CPAs, so the company is offering respondents who complete the survey, the following benefits:

1) Entry into a random drawing to win one of four $250 Amazon gift cards

2) Immediate access to a special presentation regarding our 2014 proprietary study on the next generation of investors

3) Exclusive access to a complimentary report on the results of the Gen Next CPA survey before they are published

“I’ve had the pleasure of engaging with many of these leaders at the AICPA’s E.D.G.E. conference for the past few years, and I strongly believe these individuals can’t be ignored,” Knoch said. “While experienced firm leaders throughout the accounting industry have an enormous wealth of knowledge, the voices of young and upcoming CPA leaders have tremendous value in the boardroom, and we’re seeking to help provide them with a more powerful voice.”

The Gen Next CPA can be taken at http://1stGlobal.cvent.com/gennextcpa. The survey is now open and closes to respondents on Nov. 13, 2015.

Survey Respondent Profile and Reward

The Gen Next CPA research study specifically targets gathering the input of CPAs and professionals in the accounting industry. Survey participation is limited to respondents who currently hold a CPA license or are in the process of obtaining a CPA license.

Respondent answers are anonymous. However, identifying information, such as name and contact information, is required in order to participate in a random drawing for a $250 Amazon gift card. Respondents must also complete all questions marked required in order to participate in the drawing. Winners will be chosen at random and no purchase is necessary to participate. The maximum number of gift cards a respondent can receive is one.
