HATBORO, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Philidor Rx Services today responded to public comments addressing its relationships with various pharmacies.
Philidor Rx Services is a licensed pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is licensed as non-resident pharmacy in 45 other states and the District of Columbia. Philidor processes prescriptions, dispenses medications to patients, and provides administrative services to other pharmacies in its network of pharmacies. Philidor also offers co-pay card administration services to pharmaceutical manufacturers and currently manages such a program for Valeant.
The administrative services that Philidor provides to affiliated pharmacies include: call center customer service, claims adjudication assistance, IT support, and certain management services.
Philidor has contractual relationships with the affiliated pharmacies, such as R&O Pharmacy, under which we provide those services. Philidor does not currently have a direct equity ownership in R&O Pharmacy or the affiliated pharmacies, but does have a contractual right to acquire the pharmacies now or in the future subject to regulatory approval.
