Vantage Data Centers Announces Availability of 12 Megawatts in State-of-the-Art V2 Facility in Santa Clara

Company to offer high-density, ultra-efficient space in the crown jewel of its flagship campus

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--()--Vantage Data Centers, a leading provider of data center solutions in support of mission critical applications, today announced the availability of 12 megawatts of contiguous space within its V2 building in Santa Clara, six megawatts of which is fully commissioned with high-end, fit-out in place. The premium V2 facility is a high-density, ultra-modern space that incorporates the latest in cutting-edge data center design.

This slab-on-grade design boasts ultra-low PUEs, designed to run as low as 1.2 on an average annual basis and leveraging outside air economization an average of 300 days per year. The 12 megawatts of capacity are in addition to a new three megawatt build announced in September 2015 that is also available for immediate occupancy.

Vantage is the only provider in Silicon Valley to offer a complete range of space options and mixed-use solutions, from slab-on-grade to raised floor, from 150 to greater than 400 watts per foot density, and with varying levels of redundancy to serve even the most advanced and complex workload requirements. The company offers the largest contiguous spaces currently available in Silicon Valley, allowing for localized expansion and consolidated environments.

“Today’s announcement underscores Vantage’s commitment to continually scale its capacity and meet growing customer demand, with a variety of offerings to meet a broad range of requirements,” said Sureel Choksi, President and CEO, Vantage. “This new availability within V2 represents a strategic opportunity for major Silicon Valley companies that want to take advantage of highly efficient data center design, while remaining close to home.”

“By taking advantage of features specifically designed to dramatically reduce PUE, including outside air economization, the latest in efficient infrastructure design like OCP (Open Compute Project), higher voltage to the racks and innovative cooling techniques, Vantage customers housed in V2 have a multitude of options to reduce cost and increase operational effectiveness,” said Chris Yetman, Chief Operating Officer, Vantage. “The slab-on-grade design of V2 makes it future-proof, allowing customers to deploy any variable of rack type and weight imaginable without issue.”
