Community Bank Announces Key Hire: Paul F. Rodeno, EVP Chief Credit and Risk Officer

PASADENA, Calif.--()--Community Bank, an independent community bank that has served Southern California for 70 years, has hired Paul F. Rodeno to oversee its Credit and Risk departments. He has over 25 years of senior management experience in commercial, SBA, retail and private banking.

Rodeno has an extensive credit background including senior management positions at large, regional and community banks. His past roles include Senior Credit Administrator, Chief Credit Officer and Chief Operating Officer at various financial institutions. Rodeno played a key role in restructuring a bank with credit issues and turning it into a $1.5 billion bank. Prior to joining Community Bank he served as the principal founder, CEO, President and Board member of Security Business Bancorp and its subsidiary Security Business Bank of San Diego. He has also held executive positions at Citizens Business Bank and Eldorado Bank.

Mr. Rodeno also holds positions in community-based organizations and currently serves on the Board of Directors of California Southern Small Business Development Corporation, on the University of San Diego School of Business Board of Advisors and was a Vice Chairman of the Board of the California Bankers Association as well as the former President of the Community Bankers of California/California Independent Bankers.

Rodeno has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from San Diego State University. He has also completed graduate level studies in banking at the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington.
