AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bigcommerce, the commerce platform of choice for established and emerging brands, today announced it is working with Uber to offer same-day delivery for merchants in Chicago, New York City and San Francisco through UberRUSH, an on-demand delivery network designed for local retailers.
“UberRUSH has allowed us to expand our business without the cost and infrastructure needs we would traditionally need,” said Shom Chowdhury, CEO of Indie Fresh. “We’re able to offer delivery to new neighborhoods and serve all of Manhattan from a single brick-and-mortar location without compromising the quality of our product.”
Through the partnership, select retailers selling with Bigcommerce will be able to use UberRUSH to offer faster, cheaper, and more reliable deliveries to local customers, getting products in customers’ hands on the same day they are purchased. Upon checkout, shoppers will be able to select UberRUSH as a delivery option and track the order’s progress from the retailer to their doorstep.
“The option to deliver products through Uber’s network of drivers gives our retailers an incredible opportunity to grow their businesses locally,” said Tim Schulz, chief product officer at Bigcommerce. “With on-demand delivery, merchants can discover what’s possible for their business, whether that’s reaching new customers or gaining shoppers’ trust with real-time tracking.”
UberRUSH is currently available to businesses located in Chicago, San Francisco and New York City. Bigcommerce merchants in those markets will be able to select UberRUSH as a delivery option beginning next year. To sign up for updates, visit www.bigcommerce.com/uberrush.
