Kaplan University to receive award for commitment to the community
The Marketplace at Augusta will host the first annual Celebrating a Community That Cares award ceremony at Kaplan University’s Augusta, Maine campus on Saturday, October 3, at 11:30 a.m. United States Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) will be the keynote speaker.
The awards ceremony will honor volunteers and businesses for their commitment to the community. Kaplan University, which also has campuses in South Portland and Lewiston, is one of 19 award recipients including Boys & Girls Club, Maine Army National Guard and The Salvation Army.

Celebrating a Community That Cares acknowledges support for local community efforts. Each year educators, retailers, restaurants and entertainment facilities at The Marketplace at Augusta, raise over $200,000 for local charities and non-profits and donate endless amounts of time.
