Background

Canvas is a game changing collaborative visualization solution for the enterprise. It provides traffic and transportation managers with the ability to see into every corner of the operation, share and engage with critical visual information from any location on any device. Canvas presents real time information from cameras, highway sensors, vehicle GPS systems and other elements of the intelligent transportation system, providing a clear picture to make accurate, informed decisions quickly.

Transportation agencies and operators around the world use Jupiter Canvas to manage traffic, monitor fleets, dispatch emergency response vehicles, anticipate traffic delays and provide alternate routing more quickly and efficiently.

In 2010, Jupiter’s Fusion and Fusion Catalyst display wall processors were the first to achieve FDOT Qualified Vendor status and earn a place on the Approved Products List. Additionally, Jupiter worked with FDOT’s Traffic Engineering Research Lab (TERL) and the Southwest Research Institute, to create the SunGuide Connector, providing seamless integration of Jupiter’s products with the SunGuide® Software used at all regional traffic management centers (RTMCs) in Florida. SunGuide is advanced traffic management system (ATMS) software, deployed throughout the state of Florida, that allows the control of roadway devices as well as information exchange across a variety of transportation agencies.
