WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ML Strategies, LLC, the consulting affiliate of the law firm Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, PC, is pleased to announce that former Massachusetts State Senator Steven Baddour and former Chief Legal Counsel to the Massachusetts Senate Ways and Means Committee, Daniel Connelly, will be joining the firm’s Boston office.
Senator Baddour, who most recently was a partner with the law firm McDermott, Will & Emery, will serve as a Senior Vice President of Government Relations for ML Strategies and Of Counsel in Mintz Levin’s Litigation practice. Mr. Connelly, who most recently was Legislative Counsel at McDermott, Will & Emery, will serve as Vice President of Government Relations for ML Strategies.

Senator Baddour served in the Massachusetts State Senate for more than 10 years and prior to that was an Assistant Attorney General. He was consistently ranked one of the highest rated members of the legislature by the Massachusetts business community. While in the Senate, Senator Baddour was well-known for his extensive work on a number of issues including health care and transportation, as well as for strengthening laws to protect children and the elderly.
As Chief Legal Counsel to the Massachusetts Senate Ways and Means Committee, Mr. Connelly was responsible for drafting Massachusetts’ multi-billion dollar budget, as well as reviewing all legislation referred to the committee. He has represented trade associations and businesses with interest before the executive, legislative, regulatory and municipal areas of government across New England.
