SÃO PAULO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Centrify Corporation, the leader in securing identities from cyberthreats, today announced it now offers a Brazilian-based cloud service to meet increased demand for its identity and access management (IAM) solutions in South America. The new São Paulo data center extends the reach of the Centrify Cloud to better serve customers in the region such as Brazilian insurance giant SulAmérica. The expansion is significant for Centrify since Latin America is expected to invest $136.3 billion in IT throughout 2015, according to IDC.
The Centrify Cloud is the underlying Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS) platform that powers the industry’s first integrated identity and mobility management solution — Centrify Identity Service (CIS) — and the industry’s first privileged identity management (PIM) solution delivered as a cloud-based service — Centrify Privilege Service (CPS). The Centrify Cloud operates on the Microsoft Azure.
“Centrify is the first company offering a cloud-based IAM solution to open a service region in Brazil and offer in-region data residency,” said Ruben Guerrero, regional director for Centrify’s Latin American division. “Centrify addresses the identity needs of both end users and privileged IT users, through a single platform that spans cloud, mobile and data center. This is critical in an increasingly active world where hackers are targeting both an organization’s end users and its privileged accounts that have the proverbial keys to the kingdom.”
As users access work applications from the cloud and their mobile devices, Centrify Identity Service reduces cost and complexity through a single solution for identity and enterprise mobility management. The solution provides a broad set of capabilities to enable single sign-on (SSO), provisioning and multi-factor authentication (MFA) for SaaS, on-premises and mobile applications, as well as policy and device management for mobile platforms and Macs.
Centrify Privilege Service complements and extends the broad set of capabilities for identity consolidation, privilege management and privileged session auditing found in the flagship Centrify Server Suite by providing shared account password management for servers, network devices and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS). In addition, CPS addresses security and audit requirements for the management of both cloud-based and on-premises access to critical production systems and applications by remote employees and third parties ― all without the hassle of a VPN. The net result is the most comprehensive and tightly integrated privileged identity management solution available today that not only increases security and simplifies compliance, but is also built to span both cloud and data center infrastructure.
With the availability of the new service in Brazil, Centrify is well positioned to expand its customer base in the region, while further building relationships with existing clientele, including SulAmérica.
“Centrify protects organizations from risks by delivering single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, privileged identity management, auditing for compliance and enterprise mobility management,” said Alessandro Figueiredo, Chief Information Security Officer at SulAmérica. “Through our collaboration with Centrify, SulAmérica has reduced its total cost of identity management, while improving business agility and overall security.”
