Exabeam Adds CMO Rick Caccia to Executive Team

Exabeam continues to expand its strong team roster with the addition of industry veteran

SAN MATEO, Calif.--()--Exabeam, the leader in user- and entity-behavior analytics for security, today announced industry expert Rick Caccia has joined the company as chief marketing officer (CMO). In this position, Caccia will lead all product, company and partner marketing initiatives as the company continues to grow domestically and internationally.

Caccia comes to Exabeam with more than 15 years of experience marketing enterprise infrastructure products across multiple startups and public companies. Most recently, he was the CMO at Delphix, a provider of data virtualization software, where he built the marketing department and helped grow the company tenfold. His work also resulted in numerous industry awards and accolades for the company, including being named one of the Top 25 Most Promising Companies in America by Forbes and a Magic Quadrant Leader in the Data Archiving market by Gartner. Prior to that position, he was vice president of product and channel marketing at ArcSight, where he helped position the company as a security leader, bolstering its profile through an initial public offering (IPO) and an acquisition by HP. Prior to ArcSight, Caccia held key marketing positions at Symantec and Oblix (acquired by Oracle). He started his career in the Technology Integration Group at Deloitte.

“We are ahead of our plan in a variety of areas of the business, including number of deployments, business pipeline, partnerships and product development,” said Nir Polak, Exabeam CEO and co-founder. “More organizations than ever before see user behavior analytics as the best way to detect stealthy targeted attacks and automate analysis. Bringing Rick into Exabeam as CMO will help us drive Exabeam's marketing strategy of creating additional awareness and accelerating growth.”

“Recent public and private sector data breaches show that attacks are changing, becoming not only more difficult to detect, but also more challenging to recover from,” said Rick Caccia, CMO of Exabeam. “Exabeam is unique in its ability to help IT detect, prioritize and respond to attacks. One of my highest priorities is to develop campaigns that educate IT security audiences on the importance of time to detection and ability to respond effectively.”
