SEATTLE--()--Syndicated radio host Delilah has been nominated for induction into the National Radio Hall of Fame, for Music Format On-Air Personality.

Delilah has been in radio for over 40 years, beginning her career in her home town of Reedsport, Oregon. She then worked the airwaves in ever expanding markets from Coos Bay, to Eugene, to Seattle where she piloted “Lights Out” at KLSY. The format is a mixture of real conversation, advice, love and laughter, matched with the perfect relatable song. It has taken her to the east coast and back to the Pacific Northwest where she is nationally syndicated and the most listened to female radio personality in the United States.

When informed of the nomination, Delilah stated, “I’m honored to be recognized for my contribution to radio and in the company of such amazing talent! Radio is so much a part of me; it is an extension of me. I have a true connection to my audience; each evening they become my neighbors, my family, my friends ... I hope to put love and laughter and friendship over the radio waves for as long as I am able, and am so very grateful for this nomination.”

Delilah has used her platform and power to enrich many lives, founding a nonprofit called Point Hope, a voice for forgotten children. Point Hope works on behalf of kids in the foster-care system in the US, and tirelessly in Ghana, West Africa, to bring relief to the suffering in the form of food, water, education, job training and farming practices. She is deserving of this award as a life-long radio presence and humanitarian. Visit www.delilah.com if you’d like to know more about Delilah, her show, her life, and her heart.
