CAPG Supports the Nomination of Andy Slavitt as CMS Administrator

LOS ANGELES--()--Donald H. Crane, President and CEO of CAPG, issued the following statement on Andy Slavitt's nomination:

"CAPG is pleased to support the nomination of Mr. Andy Slavitt as the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Mr. Slavitt has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing coordinated care and to moving the Medicare delivery system from a payer for volume to a payer for value. Mr. Slavitt's experience in government and the private sector make him well-suited to provide strong leadership and contributions at the agency in a time of dramatic change for the health industry.

"In this role, Mr. Slavitt can continue to pursue high-quality, low-cost healthcare for Medicare. We are hopeful that under his leadership, CMS would continue its strong commitment to new alternative payment models. CAPG also would welcome the opportunity to continue to work with Mr. Slavitt to secure a strong future for Medicare Advantage."
