SolAmerica Expands East Coast Presence with Washington DC Office

ATLANTA--()--SolAmerica Energy, LLC (“SolAmerica”) a leading solar design, development and construction firm announced today the opening of its Washington, DC office, which will be led by John Buffington, Vice President, Business Development. The office will lead SolAmerica’s solar development and EPC efforts in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions.

“A presence in Washington allows SolAmerica to focus on the interest and growth in solar development along the East Coast,” said R. Stanley Allen, president of SolAmerica. “We were already active in this market and opening an office solidifies our commitment to the region.”

SolAmerica is currently the EPC for a 2 MW solar project for SunEdison in Howard County, Maryland.

Mr. Buffington has more than 15 years of experience working with companies to improve the bottom line while boosting environmental performance. Prior to joining SolAmerica, he was the founder and director of Karbon Strateji and a managing consultant at Blu Skye Sustainability Consultants, where he designed and implemented corporate sustainability programs for Fortune 500 companies, including Walmart.

The SolAmerica Washington office will be located at 1200 18th Street NW Unit 836, Washington, DC 20036.
