NEW HARTFORD, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PAR Technology Corporation (NYSE:PAR) announced today that Five Guys has selected PAR as their software solutions partner. Five Guys plans to deploy PAR’s Brink POS™ software, PAR EverServ® POS terminals, PAR Mobile Tablet 10’s, along with PAR’s software delivery and maintenance services for their 1,200 restaurants throughout North America. Since 1986, Five Guys has been serving burgers and fries with a commitment to quality ingredients and a consistently great customer experience.
Steve Teller, Project Manager at Five Guys, was a member of the team leading a comprehensive evaluation process to select a new point of sale solution for the entire brand, which included the formation of a Franchisee POS Task Force. Together, they sought to discover an industry leader with quality POS hardware, cloud-based POS software and a reputation for first-class services to support their business. “PAR’s total solution offering and their excellent reputation made them a clear choice for the Five Guys brand,” said Teller. “Their solution is a game-changer in our industry, and we have a true technology partner in PAR.”
“The partnership with Five Guys adds to our rapidly growing presence in the fast casual space – one of the quickest growing segments in the restaurant business. The selection of our Brink POS software by a prominent fast casual brand, Five Guys, is confirmation that PAR is leading the way with hosted/SaaS POS software,” said Karen Sammon, President, ParTech Inc. “The combination of our Brink POS Software and our EverServ 7700 terminals and mobile platform Tablet 10 provides fast casual and quick serve restaurants alike a solution to rapidly scale operations, deploy new stores and embrace modern use case scenarios.”
Brink POS Software
“The cloud-based SaaS architecture of Brink POS is the ‘launch-pad technology’ allowing us to offer a complete solution for our brand that will easily adapt to changing demands. No longer do we need to keep our various technology platforms in silos,” said Steve Teller. “Not only is the implementation quick and easy with low upfront costs, it also creates real-time enterprise control of the entire chain.”
With the Brink POS solution, stores eliminate the need for a back-office server and no data is ever stored in house. If connectivity issues arise, the POS software remains functional ensuring that customer service will not be jeopardized. The Brink POS Dashboard also allows management to view meaningfully organized reports from anywhere in the world. The ability to setup a schedule of emailed reports will significantly reduce the time it takes you to evaluate your store performance and make quicker business decisions.
PAR EverServ® 7700 and PAR Tablet 10
The hardware solution was customized specifically to meet the demands of the Five Guys brand. The PAR EverServ® 7700, PAR’s best-in-class POS terminal, was built to withstand the harsh restaurant environment without sacrificing a sleek design and the power needed to run a business. With a built-in 8 inch customer facing display Five Guys has improved order accuracy and customer satisfaction as well as additional opportunities for upselling and advertising at the counter. Each store will also be using a biometric finger print scanner for employee time punches. Five Guys believes this technology will pay for itself in one month by improving accuracy in accounting of employee time.
Each Five Guys location will be equipped with one PAR Tablet 10, PAR’s 10 inch enterprise grade tablet. “The PAR Tablet 10’s rugged design and multiple use-case scenarios’ is a great addition to our technology stack. Used for line-busting during peak business hours, we are able to get orders to the kitchen more efficiently and keep our customers happy,” continued Teller. In addition to line-busting, store managers are using the PAR Tablet 10 for management reporting, new employee training, inventory counts and phone orders.
