Free and open to the public, the exhibition will launch late summer 2015. The naming competition begins May 6th, 2015, and ends May 31st. 2015. Curated by Trevor Boddy, a critic, curator, historian of architecture/urbanism and consulting urban designer, RETHINK Downtown: Behind San Diego’s Skyline will be an interactive, experience-based exhibition that allows visitors to personally interpret the history and evolution of the area, the urbanism movement and its effect on society. How did downtown San Diego come into being, how has it continually been renewed and re-created over 255 years? The exhibition will feature all-new videos, scale models, dramatic photographs, historic views/maps, and engaging displays along with a speakers series bringing the past and future of downtown San Diego to life.
Prior to opening its doors, Bosa aims to jump-start the dialogue by inviting San Diego enthusiasts to contribute to the vision by participating in naming the newest landmark and sharing what they envision for the future of downtown. The beautiful oval glass residential tower is designed by renowned architect Kohn Pedersen Fox, in collaboration with Vancouver-based Chris Dikeakos Architects, who created a design that will evolve the San Diego skyline. Rising 41 stories over San Diego’s remarkable downtown landscape, this stunning residential tower will feature breathtaking ocean, bay and city views. This exclusive collection of luxury residences, located at the front porch of downtown, will offer unparalleled living space, first-class service and exceptional amenities.
