SentinelOne Named Top Company by CISO Panel at Security Current’s High Stakes Competition

New Execution Inspection Approach to Endpoint Security Deemed Most Innovative Technology

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--()--SentinelOne, the company that’s redefining endpoint security, today announced that it was named the winner of Security Current’s inaugural Security High Stakes competition by a panel of 20 leading CISOs. Competitors were scored on innovation/vision, ease of use, clarity, and value to the industry or importance of the security problem they are solving.

“Being selected by a panel of CISOs as the most innovative company in Security Current’s High Stakes competition is a testament to the strength of our technology,” said Tomer Weingarten, CEO of SentinelOne. “Despite the fact that current signature and sandbox-based approaches are failing to keep up with threats, CISOs recognize that the endpoint is the front line in the cyber war. We were able to demonstrate how execution inspection can positively detect and protect against advanced threats to keep companies safe.”

The CISO panel for the High Stakes competition included representatives from ADP, Aetna, DirecTV, Freddie Mac, Hearst, Oppenheimer, Perdue Farms, the SEC and more.

“It is a crowded field of security vendors and as CISOs responsible for protecting our enterprises it is critical that we can cut through the noise to hear about the latest security technologies,” said LCRA's CSO, Larry Whiteside Jr. “Security Current's High Stakes competition did just that -- got cutting edge vendors in front of us. I congratulate SentinelOne for rising to the top of those vendors.”

SentinelOne has developed a new approach to endpoint protection that outperforms the current layered security measures which rely on static anti-virus signatures, white listing and easily detected sandbox systems to combat threats. SentinelOne EDR dynamically monitors endpoint processes to detect, block and remove both known attacks and zero-day, advanced malware in real time. The technology unifies endpoint protection across Windows, Mac, Android, and soon Linux, smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), servers (physical and virtual), embedded systems (e.g., PoS), and critical infrastructure (e.g., SCADA).

“Security Current's High Stakes competition at RSA allowed nearly two dozen CISOs to get insight into new and up-and-coming companies. The competition covered endpoint, network, and education vendors,” said Mike Saurbaugh, who leads security at Corning Credit Union. “Quite honestly, they all had a compelling product and it made it hard to choose. However, SentinelOne stood out the most and clearly has something special in the endpoint protection space.”

SentinelOne EDR’s core technology is based on a unique execution inspection engine that analyzes application processes in real time, combining attack pattern and malware technique modeling with automated crowd-sourced security intelligence aggregation and sharing. SentinelOne automatically stops and removes malware, reduces dwell times, minimizes damages, and eliminates incident response remediation.
