ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jacksonville, Fla.-based Consolidated Laboratory Services (CLS), a wholly owned subsidiary of St. Vincent’s HealthCare, has turned to McKesson Business Performance Services (McKesson) for comprehensive, cost-effective outreach laboratory billing services.
McKesson’s revenue cycle services will include claims management, denial management, compliance, customer service and business intelligence reporting. St Vincent’s HealthCare operates three hospitals where CLS is responsible for about 863,000 clinical tests annually with more than 1,300 outreach clients.
Lynnette Chakkaphak, system laboratory director for CLS, said McKesson’s end-to-end revenue cycle solution represented the best option for the organization.
“We were planning on replacing our billing system, but decided we would also investigate outsourced billing solutions,” Chakkaphak said. “The more we learned about what McKesson could offer, the more we realized that working with them represented a far more cost-effective solution than continuing to bill in-house. Chakkaphak said the laboratory was particularly enthusiastic about the custom reporting that McKesson will provide. Reports highlighting a range of detailed financial and operational metrics will strengthen operations and improve long-term planning.
