LG Ahead of the Curve with 4K OLED TV and G FLEX2 Smartphone

Curved LG Devices, Among Most Talked About, Most Awarded from 2015 International CES® Featured on Capitol Hill

WASHINGTON--()--Two of the most talked about and most awarded innovations unveiled at the 2015 International CES® – the breakthrough curved OLED TV and unique curved smartphone from LG Electronics – were featured here today at “CES on the Hill,” the Consumer Electronics Association’s (CEA®) annual innovation showcase on Capitol Hill.

At CES 2015, LG’s OLED TVs received 13 awards, including the Official CES Best TV honor and CES Innovation Awards. The LG G Flex2 curved smartphone earned 14 awards, including a number of best-smartphone-of-the-show honors. Bringing the best of CES to Washington for policymakers to experience first-hand, CEA invited LG Electronics USA to demonstrate these two revolutionary products at CES on the Hill.

LG Art Slim Curved 4K OLED TV

Combining the intense detail of 4K Ultra HD (with more than 8 million pixels) and the superior contrast and rich, accurate color that only OLED provides, the LG 65EG9600 represents the ultimate in picture quality. LG’s revolutionary OLED technology delivers a breathtaking picture with perfect blacks and incredible color, even with wide viewing angles. LG’s Art Slim design boasts an amazingly slim depth at only a few millimeters and a stylish, frameless design.

LG’s OLED TVs and other LG Smart TVs are the first and only 4K UHD TVs to be designated as Netflix Recommended TVs, a new program that helps consumers identify televisions that offer both the best Netflix experience and superior smart TV performance overall.

At CES, this 65-inch model (and other LG OLED TVs) received UL Environment’s coveted “GREENGUARD” Certification, which sets a new precedent for television manufacturers to help create healthier indoor environments. To confirm low emissions from the LG OLED TVs, UL Environment performed rigorous tests against the GREENGUARD Certification standard in its Marietta, Ga. laboratory.

GREENGUARD Certification for LG OLED TVs is just one example of the company’s leadership in developing products with health and environment in mind. For example, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions in its operations, LG is a long-time leader in fighting climate change with energy efficient appliances and TVs, including the first ENERGY STAR® certified OLED TVs. Among other initiatives, LG also is focused on conserving natural resources by reducing product weight, using more recycled materials, and designing products for easier recycling. LG OLED TVs also received the Design for Recycling Award presented by the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries.

LG G Flex2 Curved Smartphone

Now available, the LG G Flex2 was one of the hottest and most awarded devices unveiled this year’s International CES. The contoured body form of the LG G Flex2 is as beautiful to hold as it as to behold. From the sleek profile to the intuitive rear key design, it’s unique from every angle.

With a brilliant clarity and color, all eyes are on the LG G Flex2’s revolutionary 5.5-inch Curved Full HD P-OLED display. The 13-megapixel camera on the G Flex2 capture true-to-life memories, even in less than ideal conditions.
