PORT TOWNSEND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Intellicheck Mobilisa, Inc. (NYSE MKT:IDN), a leader in ID verification and wireless technology, has been awarded a subcontract from TechFlow, Inc. to design, prototype, implement and commercialize a “big data” analytics system and innovative secure common sensor interface. The initial effort will securely capture and analyze energy use data from energy systems from networked devices aboard U.S. Navy installations. Post-analysis, the system will provide a data analysis “dashboard,” predicting both future energy usage and recommendations for reduction of energy.
TechFlow Chairman and CEO Larry Trammell said he is excited to work with Intellicheck on the groundbreaking opportunity. "This contract allows us to extend the important work we do with a number of Defense Department Installations and allows us to develop product offerings that we believe will result in measurable energy cost savings. Our partnership with Intellicheck is central to this effort. Intellicheck CEO Dr. Bill Roof developed the system architecture that is foundational to this award. We will subsequently present a plan to the Navy which will introduce the newly developed energy saving technology into commercial markets."
Intellicheck Mobilisa is a leader in identity verification and validation systems, and in wireless broadband Internet backhaul design and implementation. The company holds 20 patents pertaining to identification technology, and its identity solutions support customers in the financial, retail, hospitality, national defense and law enforcement markets. The Company’s products read, authenticate and break down components of identity documents including driver licenses, military identification cards and other government forms of identification containing magnetic stripe, barcode and smart chip information.
Intellicheck CEO Dr. Bill Roof said the contract represents an important step forward. "We are honored to be a part of this US Navy contract in conjunction with TechFlow. This contract strongly supports our strategy to provide meaningful and actionable data analytics for our customers in a highly secure environment," he explained.
Dr. Roof noted that the Navy contract provides an opportunity for Intellicheck to further innovate on its highly secure identity and authorization applications and extend its expertise into data analytics, benefitting both the government and commercial sectors. He said the applications of the pioneering analytics system hold real promise beyond energy usage, which he expects will become pivotal in numerous markets already served by Intellicheck, including retail, financial services, and law enforcement. "As the data repositories of highly targeted and anonymous user information grows, our technology will provide innovative solutions and services that will facilitate key insights for strategic decisions that drive sales, marketing and public safety initiatives. Among a host of other benefits derived from the analyzed data, it will inform decisions to develop strategies and tactics to grow profitability in the retail and financial sectors. For law enforcement agencies, it will present new opportunities to enhance safety and effectiveness."
