Mobile World Congress 2015

BARCELONA, Spain--()--The Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC), an organization driving global technologies for phone-centric car connectivity solutions, today announced that the HTC One (M9) is MirrorLink-enabled. The deployment places MirrorLink® in the hands of even more drivers, significantly enhancing the technology’s value proposition for automakers and app developers alike.

Widely hailed for its elegant aesthetics, the HTC One (M9) is a natural complement for MirrorLink’s ease of connectivity to the dashboard. Other MirrorLink-enabled HTC smartphones include the HTC One (M8), HTC One (M8) EYE, HTC Desire 620, HTC Desire EYE, HTC Desire 820 and HTC Desire 820 Mini.

“The HTC One (M9)’s stunning series of enhancements sets forth a new standard for handsets that will truly enrich the connected driving experience,” said Andy Lee, Automotive AVP of HTC. “MirrorLink helps HTC fulfill its commitment to delivering an unparalleled mobile experience for every circumstance in a consumer’s life, which includes providing a responsible method to access smartphone content inside of the vehicle.”

MirrorLink is the leading industry standard for car-smartphone connectivity and is designed for maximum interoperability between a wide range of smartphones and cars. MirrorLink is also the only OS- and OEM-agnostic standard for car-smartphone connectivity and the only vendor-neutral standard where no single entity has a controlling stake. MirrorLink thus offers the quickest global route to safer and more enjoyable connected driving.

“The CCC’s vision of MirrorLink becoming the smartphone-centric car connectivity solution of choice is rapidly materializing as the world’s newest and most popular vehicles and handsets, including the HTC One (M9), become MirrorLink-enabled,” said Alan Ewing, President and Executive Director of the CCC. “MirrorLink addresses the demand for seamless car connectivity in a manner that makes it the most ingenious method to bring smartphone content to the dash.”
