Human Capital Media Announces Keynote Lineup for the Spring 2015 Chief Learning Officer Symposium

Chicago’s world-renowned The Second City Improv Troupe enlisted to perform

CHICAGO--()--Human Capital Media (HCM), publisher of Chief Learning Officer (CLO), today announced the programming details of its 12th annual CLO Symposium, or simply “the symposium.” This event is widely recognized as a top conference for senior learning and development professionals. This year’s symposium will be held at the Trump National Doral in Miami, Florida, from April 13-15.

In addition to the symposium itself, CLO will host the LearningElite Gala on the eve of the conference — the gala honors companies across the U.S. who are implementing the best learning and development practices in order to make a positive business impact. As an added attraction, this year’s gala will also have Chicago’s Second City, an improvisational comedy enterprise, providing entertaining sketch comedy to kick off the event.

“When we launched in 2004, there was no guarantee this conference would remain in demand. To our delight, executive learning leaders showed up and continue to every year in larger numbers,” said Mike Prokopeak, HCM editor in chief. “This spring, the symposium will once again attract the top decision-makers and some of the brightest minds in learning and development. With The Second City participating, it’s going to bring an element of fun and some unexpected twists to the sharing of ideas and best practices.”

Keynote speakers include top management and performance experts as well as authors and entertainers. This spring’s roster includes:

  • Steven Kotler, award-winning journalist and best-selling author of the book "The Rise of Superman: Decoding the Science of Ultimate Human Performance"
  • Bill Rasmussen, conceptor of ESPN and SportsCenter and author of the best-selling book, "Sports Junkies Rejoice! The Birth of ESPN"
  • Heidi Reeder, Ph.D., author of the book, “Commit to Win” and an expert blogger for Psychology Today
  • Brigid Schulte, fellow at the New America Foundation and award-winning journalist for The Washington Post

Platinum sponsors for this year’s event include Cisco, Keller Center for Corporate Learning of DeVry University, Saba and Vantage Partners.
