About Rollkers SAS
Rollkers SAS was founded in 2012 by Paul Chavand. It is debuting its namesake product, Rollkers, at CES 2015 this coming January. Users simply affix Rollkers to the bottom of their shoes and gain the immediate ability to reach speeds up to seven miles per hour simply by walking or strolling normally. Unlike inline skates, Rollkers are immediately balancing and require no specific training. Chavand conceived the idea of Rollkers based largely on the magic feeling he experienced when using the “travelator” or the moving walkway traditionally found in airports. As he deemed it unfeasible to equip an entire city with travelators, he inverted the problem and focused on integrating the technology into footwear. The product is expected to be available for licensees in late 2015.
