CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Land of Lincoln Health (LLH) is pleased to announce its collaboration with eight Illinois health care providers to deliver an innovative line of Preferred Partner health plans for the people of Illinois. These specialized plans, which are set to become available to consumers during the upcoming Open Enrollment period beginning November 15, are designed to provide access to quality, affordable health care for consumers who prefer to visit specific doctors, hospitals, and health systems.

With these plans, patients can see their preferred provider for the lowest copays, coinsurance and out-of-pocket costs. These plans will typically cover visits to physicians, nurses, advanced practice registered nurses, physician assistants or other providers. While purchasers of the Preferred Partner Plans will enjoy enhanced benefits when visiting providers within their Preferred Partner’s health system, they will still have coverage with providers nationwide if they choose to seek care elsewhere within LLH’s broader world-class network. Coverage for treatment outside of the Preferred Partner Network will remain high-quality and cost-effective.

Land of Lincoln Health lowered monthly premiums on its plans by as much as 30 percent compared to 2014 by collaborating with health care providers across the state to obtain the best rates on a unique portfolio of plans.
