MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Ipsos Girls’ Lounge, the go-to destination for women at conferences to connect, collaborate and inspire each other, is bringing its national tour to Florida, with stops at the University of Miami on Tuesday, October 14th and the 2014 ANA Masters of Marketing Conference, October 15th -17th.
Created by Shelley Zalis, founder and CEO of Ipsos OTX, The Ipsos Girls’ Lounge is a one-of-a-kind space for women in marketing, advertising, research, media, and technology to connect, make deals, and come together to talk business and life in a “girls-only” environment.
This time, The Girls’ Lounge will be advocating on behalf of two worthy causes: building confidence in young women and creating equal opportunity under the banner of The Good Life at Work. The Lounge is bringing back their “Confidence Is Beautiful” mission and is also sponsoring the Equal Payback Project, a new national awareness video campaign starring comedian Sarah Silverman, aimed at eliminating the wage gap between men and women.
“We are continuing our mission to close both the confidence AND wage gap for women in business, open the door to female empowerment, and drive cultural transformation,” Zalis said. “Bringing The Ipsos Girls’ Lounge to the University of Miami and ANA Masters of Marketing allows us to reach both the new generation of corporate female leaders as well as the influencers who are working towards effecting change now.”
The mobile Lounge will make its first stop on its Florida tour at the University of Miami, where it will bring its “Confidence Is Beautiful” bus to young ladies across the campus. Outfitted with a ‘confidence signature’ selfie station that will broadcast images on Clear Channel Outdoor digital billboards across Miami, the bus will also feature hair & makeup touchups as well as work/life styling advice.
Following its college stop, the Lounge will then head to the 2014 ANA Masters of Marketing Conference, a gathering of the biggest influencers in the marketing and media industry, where it will feature a host of “girls only” activities in the penthouse suite of The Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, FL. Each day will feature hair, makeup and reflexology treatments, as well as career and social styling tips. On Wednesday, October 15th there will also be a pajama party aboard the “Confidence Is Beautiful” bus as well as a panel on Thursday on “The Good Life at Work.”
The Confidence is Beautiful Bus will include:
- Selfie Series: On one side of the bus, there will be a Confidence is Beautiful selfie station. Women will take their photo, pick a ‘confidence signature’ emoticon, print the photo on a sticker, and paste it onto the bus. The culmination of the photos on the bus will create the Confidence is Beautiful selfie collage.
- The Good Life @ Work Doodle Wall: We’re asking women to let us know – is it equal pay, flexible schedules, being respected, opportunity for growth… our online and in-person poll is being brought to life as two artists transform the results into a real-time living art piece – a massive, colorful mural drawn right onto the side of the bus as the results come rolling in.
- The Sisterhood Closet: Find your fashion soul mate
- Pamper Your Pumps: Foot massage and reflexology to help you kick back, relax and unwind.
- Social Styling: Discover your Confidence Signature and take your new headshot using our social styling advice
