HOUSTON--()--Axalta Coating Systems, a leading manufacturer of liquid and powder coatings, presented and exhibited at the 2014 Powder Coating Show, sponsored by the Powder Coating Institute, in Indianapolis, IN on September 17th and 18th.

Axalta experts presented top quality technical training designed to provide valuable takeaways for attendees to learn about additional coating options and processes that may help satisfy customer needs. Mike Wittenhagen, Axalta Technical Service Manager, shared findings from his research during two sessions titled, Options for Maximum Corrosion Protection and Preventive Maintenance and Troubleshooting of Powder Application Equipment. Bill Owens, Axalta South Region Sales Manager, presented in a session titled, Building Blocks of a Powder System.

Axalta co-sponsored the kickoff breakfast and keynote address as well. Axalta also featured coatings from its Alesta® decorative powder product lines, e.g., RALs and Anodic collection powders, in its exhibit booth, and included an oil and gas pipe display coated with Nap-Gard® fusion bonded epoxy (FBE) products. The booth also highlighted Abcite® thermoplastic powder coatings, recently announced as an addition to Axalta’s global product portfolio. Abcite is designed to be tough, durable and provide outstanding corrosion protection.
