Gartner Report Names MEGA a Leader for Enterprise Architecture Tools

MEGA named an EA tools leader by leading analyst firm for six years running

BOSTON--()--Gartner, Inc. named MEGA as a leader positioned highest in ability to execute in its Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Tools report, published September 30, 2014.

For six consecutive years, Gartner has named MEGA as a leader in its enterprise architecture (EA) tools Magic Quadrant reports.

The EA software that Gartner analyzed in the report is just one offering in MEGA’s broad range of integrated solutions that help companies manage enterprise complexity, navigate business transformation, boost operational effectiveness and efficiency, and improve business performance.

MEGA was one of 13 companies analyzed in the Gartner report and placed in four quadrants: leaders, visionaries, challengers, and niche players. Gartner evaluates EA solutions as a way to aid companies in assessing potential software solutions that can help them make strategic business decisions.

Gartner’s criteria for analyzing companies in the report required them to have:

  • tools that are positioned to address the Gartner-defined EA tool marketplace and possess the critical capabilities described in the market definition/description section
  • active customer production deployments in at least two vertical industries
  • an active market presence (subsidiary or official partner) in North America, Europe and the Asia/Pacific region
  • active customers in production for at least two of the three regions mentioned above

“Used effectively, EA tools enable organizations to meet the challenges facing businesses by capturing, integrating, and analyzing information to enable business decisions,” said the report, authored by Saul Brand, research director at Gartner.

“Vendors are focusing on how EA tools deliver targeted business outcomes to their customers. Key enhancements in this regard include a greater focus on enterprise business and information architectures, as well as enhanced organizational stakeholder collaboration capabilities that facilitate strategic decision making,” the report continued.
