UK Based PeoplePerHour Launches Freelance Marketplace in the United States

Company Also Releases Version 3.0 with Enhanced Design and Features

NEW YORK--()--PeoplePerHour, the United Kingdom’s leading marketplace for freelance services, today announced the launch of its service in the United States. Along with the U.S. launch, PeoplePerHour unveiled the latest iteration of the service, PeoplePerHour 3.0 (PPH 3.0).

PeoplePerHour is a digital marketplace allowing freelancers and self-employed professionals to connect with small- or medium-sized businesses to complete digital project-based work like video editing, graphic design and website development. PPH 3.0 brings an enhanced user interface to the platform, making it easier for buyers and sellers of online services to engage with one another as well as a more exclusive marketplace with stricter curation for control quality, video bidding, video portfolio uploads and refined job matching through deeper data science, allowing for more accurate pro-active matching of jobs and short projects.

“The freelance economy is growing at an incredible rate with over $1 billion of work done online today and expected growth of five-fold before the turn of the decade. We are constantly working to remove friction between buyers and sellers – going deeper to define and standardize service delivery so that all buyers can understand exactly what they will receive, how much it will cost and when it will be delivered,” said Xenios Thrasyvoulou, Founder and CEO PeoplePerHour. “We’re excited to unleash PeoplePerHour 3.0 as well as introduce our services to the U.S. market.”

With PPH 3.0, PeoplePerHour implements new quality assurance protocols, opening the platform to only freelancers who have been carefully screened, are able to meet specific metrics during a 3-month “qualifying period” and consistently maintain those metrics once the probationary period has ended. This “up or out” strategy was enacted to ensure that in a growing freelance economy, only the most active and talented users prosper and customers receive services from the best freelancers the industry has to offer.

Thrasyvoulou continued, "Maintaining consistency in delivery is paramount. The freelance marketplace industry often suffers from a very ‘hit and miss’ experience. You can find good talent, but it’s laborious and inconsistent. We aim to fix that by ensuring that only those who consistently deliver stay in."

In addition to the U.S. launch, PeoplePerHour will release other new products in the coming weeks for freelancers to capitalize and thrive in the new market.
