COLOGNE, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The ALS challenge has made millions aware of this rare but serious disease.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease. What is so awesome about the ice bucket challenge is that this viral phenomenon has already raised millions of dollars for ALS research.
PCKeeper is a bundled software application with advanced customer support features. The software offers a range of tools for service, security, and optimization. The PCKeeper team released the video of their challenge that has already generated nearly 20,000 views in the first few days. The video starts out with the team standing in front of 3 large pieces of excavating equipment with ice cold water in the buckets. After issuing the challenge to other technology companies the water was poured on the entire PCKeeper team.
“The water was freezing cold, but it was for a good cause and we are very happy that other tech companies accepted our challenge” says Alex Korolovich the head of PCKeeper’s support team.
PCKeeper nominated King Digital, McAfee, and Symantec. Shortly after the challenge was issued Symantec responded by posting their own video of employees covering themselves with ice water.
