MDS Consulting’s National Leadership and Executive Conference to Feature Special Session on Population Health

9th Annual Healthcare Leadership and Executive Conference

LOS ANGELES--()--A special session focused on best practices for developing a successful population health management strategy will be among the highlights of MDS Consulting’s 9th annual Healthcare Leadership and Executive Conference to be held Sept. 14-16 at the Encore Hotel in Las Vegas.

“Health systems and physician organizations are commonly embarking on strategies to become population health managers, but many considerations need to be taken into account in order for this journey to be successful,” said MDS President and CEO Phil Dalton. “This important session will provide a rare opportunity to learn from experienced leaders about the critical organizational approaches necessary for this transition and about the future of relationships between hospitals, physician groups and health plans.”

Sharing their insights at the session will be five of healthcare’s most experienced leaders representing a diverse cross section of the industry. They are: Richard Fish, CEO of Brown & Toland Physicians; Dan Frank, COO of Regal and Lakeside Medical Groups; Jeff Koury, CEO Western Region of Tenet Healthcare; Ernie Schwefler, regional vice president of California Provider Engagement and Contracting for Anthem Blue Cross; and Barry Wolfman, CEO and managing director of the George Washington University Hospital. Moderating the session will be Bill Gill, vice president and CEO of Providence Southern California Medical Foundations.

Widely recognized as one of the healthcare industry’s premier gatherings, the Healthcare Leadership and Executive Conference will bring together a unique gathering of 25 distinguished faculty members who will share their thoughts on the industry’s changing dynamics with executives from hospitals, health plans, medical groups and other organizations. Consistent with the conference theme, “Transforming Healthcare: Partnerships, Innovations and Population Health,” topics to be discussed include population health management, clinical integration, evolving new models of care delivery, and operational innovations for managing high-risk patients. The conference will also explore new physician alignment models; keys to connecting with the right strategic partners; and options for sustainability through affiliations, partnerships, mergers and other alliances.

Early registration with reduced pricing, available through the end of July, and other information may be obtained at www.mdsconsulting.com. In addition, a limited number of sponsorship opportunities, which include such benefits as complimentary registration, pre-event publicity, and recognition in all conference materials, are still available.
