NEW YORK--()--Growing its leadership in delivering disruptive business solutions and delightful brand experiences for the world’s most impactful companies, brand innovation consultancy BBMG today announced the appointment of innovation expert Joseph Ingram as managing director. In this new role Joseph will be responsible for leadership, oversight and direction of BBMG’s overall consulting practice, managing both strategy and creative teams, charged with designing and delivering world-class solutions that help the firm’s clients drive revenue and positive social impact.

“We’re on a mission to disrupt and delight, and we are privileged to collaborate with so many forward-thinking brands embedding social purpose and sustainable design into their business strategies to create shared value,” said Raphael Bemporad, co-founder and chief strategy officer. “Joseph’s extensive background in both branding and innovation, plus the depth and breadth of his experience working inside many of the world’s largest companies, makes him the perfect executive to drive our next chapter of growth.”

Joseph has spent the last decade creating and repositioning brands, developing new products and services and helping organizations build their innovation capabilities. Prior to joining BBMG, Joseph served as strategy director at Purpose, where he led the development of new social movement brands including Everytown (the gun safety organization backed by Bloomberg Philanthropies) and Peers (an online advocacy group to grow and protect the sharing economy).

A self-confessed innovation enthusiast, Joseph previously served as senior innovation consultant at What If, based in the London, New York and Shanghai offices. During this time, he ran projects in 17 countries and helped clients such as Abbott, Banana Republic, The Coca-Cola Company, Diageo, Dockers, Hershey's, Levi Strauss & Co., Nestlé, PepsiCo, Pernod Ricard, Pfizer, Unilever and Walmart. Joseph has delivered innovation strategies across diverse industries including infant nutrition, sustainable fashion, diabetes management and automobile design.

“I am truly honored to join BBMG’s passionate and inspiring team. I love that the philosophy is to build sustainable brands, products and services which people choose because they love them, rather than because they feel obligated to make responsible choices,” said Ingram. “The founding values of the company resonate very strongly with me. I absolutely believe that the more we work to bring humanity into the business world, the closer we get to building a sustainable future.”

Joseph is a graduate of Aston University in the United Kingdom, where he received his BSc in International Business and French. He can be reached at jingram@bbmg.com.

In other people news, BBMG recently welcomed senior strategist Rachel Lichte and promoted Naomi Eskin to strategist.
