NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Storyful announced today several appointments that will further expand its editorial and sales operations as the company plans for new products and increased engagement across newsrooms, brands and agencies.
In recent months, Storyful has enjoyed several new initiatives and accomplishments, including the launch of FB Newswire with Facebook as well as reaching one billion total views on YouTube. The company also plans to launch version 2.0 of its newswire dashboard in the coming weeks while expanding global editorial, technology, sales and product staff in Dublin, New York and Hong Kong. Storyful was acquired by News Corp in December 2013.
Mandy Jenkins has been named Editor of Storyful’s Open Newsroom, based in New York. In this newly created role, which she began on July 21, Jenkins will oversee Storyful’s work with the recently launched Facebook Newswire as well as the Google+ Open Newsroom and additional initiatives surrounding the use of user-generated content for breaking and developing news, upcoming political elections and other special projects. Jenkins most recently served as Managing Editor for Project Thunderdome, overseeing daily operations for Digital First Media’s national newsroom.
Toby Leah Bochan has been appointed Editor of Storyful’s Creative Newsroom, beginning August 18. Based in New York, Bochan will be responsible for developing a new Trendswire product, which will alert trends in real-time and provide brands with content market opportunities and social intelligence. She will also oversee Storyful’s viral video operations. Bochan most recently served as Senior Homepage and Social Media Editor for MSN.
Michael Sadicario has been appointed Storyful’s first Chief Sales Officer, beginning August 4. Based in New York, Sadicario will be responsible for leading the company’s global sales strategy and expanding Storyful’s reach with brands and agencies. Sadicario joins Storyful from Bloomberg Media, where served as Head of North American Digital Sales.
