BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IHRDC is pleased to announce that the company’s founder and President, Dr. David Donohue, is the recipient of the inaugural “Lifetime Achievement Award” from Getenergy, the global education and training marketplace for the petroleum industry. The award was given to Dr. Donohue as part of the annual Getenergy Awards ceremony held in London earlier this month in recognition of his “outstanding personal dedication and commitment to the development of oil and gas education.”
The Lifetime Achievement Award was made as Dr. Donohue celebrated his 45th year as the chief executive and lead instructor for IHRDC, the company he started in 1969 with a group of educators to plan, develop and market short courses in all areas of upstream petroleum technology. “From courses to books to video training to e-learning to competency management to business games in management programs, Dave's passion for delivering world-class content to industry professionals on a global basis has driven the growth of IHRDC,” wrote the Getenergy Awards jury. “Now virtually a 'household' name throughout the oil and gas value chain, IHRDC’s programs and products have impacted the lives of countless individuals throughout our industry.”
