BEIJING--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ChinaJoy, one of the world’s top game exhibitions and an annual festival for the game industry and game fans, held a press conference in Shanghai on June 19, where Howell International Trade Fair Ltd., the organizer, revealed the preparation of ChinaJoy and the simultaneous events.
Bigger Than Ever
According to the organizer, this year’s ChinaJoy will be professional, international, authorative and entertaining in many ways. It will attract over 500 companies from over 30 countries and regions, including Netease, Shanda, Kingsoft, Youzu, Tencent, Perfect World, Giant Interactive, Yinhan and Suzhou Snail Games. More than 700 game products will be exhibited in an area about 100,000m2. The number of visitors is expected to exceed 250,000.
Mobile game platform providers, distributors and content providers will play a leading role at ChinaJoy BTC 2014, with 360, CocoaChina, CMGE, iDreamSky, UC, Kunlun Games, China Unicom, China Mobile, China Telecom, Baidu and Alibaba together taking a 700m2 exhibition booth which is no smaller than traditional game companies.
In terms of overseas exhibitors, apart from familiar faces such as EA, Blizzard Entertainment, Ubisoft, Intel, nVIDIA, Crytek, Alienware and Logitech, the newly established China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone will bring newcomers. Microsoft and Sony will present their console products Xbox One and PS4 respectively at ACH. Their booths will cover nearly 1,000m2 each, approximately equal to that at E3. Meanwhile, ACH will also see domestic console and video game producers including The9 and TCL demonstrate their latest products.
Besides, Mobile Game Entrepreneur Association (MGEA) will present the 2nd WMGC simultaneously with ChinaJoy 2014. This year’s WMGC will be prolonged to two days, with three summits to gather 600 attendees and nearly 200 speakers, covering topics such as mobile game marketing, financing and overseas expansion and cooperation. It will also present a dozen of third-party mobile game developers’ day and new product launches. The total number of professional visitors is expected to exceed 10,000 person-times.
MGEA will start to recruit members at ChinaJoy 2014, and plans to take the Chinese mobile game entrepreneurs to the Silicon Valley and the Brazil Game Show for business exchange later this year.

Apart from its characteristic BTC Area, ChinaJoy’s BTB showcase has grown into the world’s largest professional game business matching platform. This year it will gather a number of overseas delegations from Korea, Poland and Scotland. The number of exhibitors will reach approximately 400, and the business exhibition area will measure 26,000m2, half of which will be dedicated to mobile game companies.
The simultaneous CDEC, CGBC and CGDC will see an unprecedented line-up of speakers, with a total number of nearly 500 and numerous domestic and international game giants, and 70% of the topics will focus on mobile games.
