LUND, Sweden--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Regulatory News:
Alfa Laval – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling – has won an order to supply heat exchangers to a natural gas stabilization plant in Russia. The order is worth approximately SEK 50 million with delivery scheduled for 2015.
Alfa Laval’s compact welded heat exchangers will be used for heating and cooling the gas condensate, making it suitable for transport. The demands on the equipment are particularly high as the gas condensate originates from a reservoir, located several thousand meters below the ground, with very high pressure and temperature.
“The pressure and the temperature are still very high as the gas condensate reaches the surface, where the plant is located, requiring reliable equipment. This order proves that our compact heat exchangers meet these high demands,” says Lars Renström, President and CEO of the Alfa Laval Group.
The order is booked in the Energy & Process segment of the Process Technology division. With the old organization it would have been booked in the Energy & Environment segment.
Did you know that… gas condensate is a low-density mixture of hydrocarbon liquids present as gaseous components in natural gas fields and it condenses out of the raw gas when pressure and temperature decrease as a result of drilling the well?
