Cloud Practice Launches ClinicAid Web-Based Billing Software in British Columbia

BC’s medical professionals can now use ClinicAid to submit their claims to MSP through the Teleplan system

VICTORIA, British Columbia--()--Cloud Practice Inc. is proud to announce the launch of ClinicAid, its web-based, automated medical billing software, in a third province, British Columbia. ClinicAid will allow BC’s physicians and medical professionals to submit their Medical Services Plan (MSP) claims through the electronic Teleplan system accurately, quickly, and easily.

ClinicAid is entirely web-based, making it accessible from anywhere on any device with an internet connection and browser. The software has been built to help doctors, billing agents, and medical professionals streamline the billing process. It can be used as a stand-alone software or can be integrated with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as OSCAR, DOX EMR, RevolutionEHR and more. Patient and appointment data stored in the EMR systems flow directly into ClinicAid to make for efficient billing data entry without redundancy. All of the BC health service codes and diagnostic codes are integrated into easily searchable look-up tables, simplifying invoice creation and facilitating an efficient billing process. Other useful features include setting a default service provider, favourite codes lists, and template invoices that can be customised for multiple purposes.

Invoices created in ClinicAid are directly connected and sent through to MSP’s Teleplan claim submission and processing system. Remittance files are then received by ClinicAid and claims are updated with the appropriate statuses in the system. Invoices that are sent back as anything other than paid in full are displayed on a dashboard to ensure physicians see and review these claims. Edits and changes can be made swiftly and claims can be resubmitted in just a few seconds. ClinicAid offers BC’s medical professionals an effective way to complete claim submissions using an intuitive and user-friendly interface.

Various reporting tools allow users to check the status of all of their invoices created in the system, identify potentially erroneous claims, track their revenue, and filter through data using many different variables.

New users are able to take advantage of a free live demo, as well as a free 30 day trial of the software. An overview and introductory video can be found on the clinicaid.ca website and interested physicians are able to sign up for an account directly on the site.

“We’ve been live in Alberta and Ontario for a while now,” says Jordan Visco, CEO of Cloud Practice Inc., “and we’ve received great feedback from our users and clients so we’re very excited to launch in our home province of BC. Our end goal is to make medical billing in provinces across Canada as simple and straight-forward as possible. Making sure that doctors are able to get paid what they deserve with as little hassle and confusion as possible is the drive behind why we’ve built and continue to improve ClinicAid.”

The company will be working on new features now that the BC version of ClinicAid has been launched. They are planning to create a scheduling module to plug into the billing platform and are constantly adding improvements based on user feedback.
