PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AthenianRazak, a Philadelphia-based real estate services firm, is serving as the Philadelphia 76ers Development Manager for their new state-of-the-art Training Center to be located along the Camden Waterfront in New Jersey. AthenianRazak has been working with the Sixers on site selection and the real estate development process since early 2013. The facility is targeted for 2016 completion.

The Training Center’s size and scope will be unmatched in the NBA, featuring practice courts, locker rooms, weight and exercise rooms, team medical facilities, audiovisual processing and theater areas as well as office space for the Sixers basketball operations and coaching staffs. In addition, the Sixers will locate their corporate offices in a building adjacent to the Training Center. While final details are still in design, the complex is estimated to be approximately 120,000 square feet.
Serving as the Development Manager, AthenianRazak has helped with securing financing sources, including an incentive package from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, which paves the way for the Sixers to build the largest and most advanced facility in the league.
AthenianRazak leads the development process, assembling the design professionals, contractors and other team members required to execute a complex project like the Training Center. AthenianRazak is also responsible for obtaining required approvals and permits, managing cash flow during development, overseeing the management of the construction process and helping the Sixers prepare the facility for efficient operation.
