In the newly created position of senior vice president of client performance optimization, Huiner will lead a cross-functional effort focused on client relationship management and will develop consulting services designed to maximize the value clients can achieve from SCI’s solutions. Gier joins SCI as senior vice president and chief marketing officer, where she will lead efforts to increase market awareness of the value the solutions create for clients and generate increased demand for SCI solutions.
Huiner joins SCI with extensive expertise in the healthcare industry across providers and healthcare IT companies. Before SCI, Huiner served as chief of staff to the CEO of Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE: THC), where she facilitated strategy redirection, organizational restructuring and executive alignment efforts. Prior to that, she led Tenet’s corporate venture investment efforts, giving her a broad range of exposure as both an investor and board advisor for a variety of healthcare technology companies. She began her career at Deloitte Consulting focused on both healthcare and merger and acquisition clients and has most recently served healthcare clients as an independent strategic adviser. Huiner holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School.
Gier’s career encompasses more than two decades marketing cutting-edge healthcare technologies, including electronic health records, information exchange solutions and clinical decision-support software. She has extensive experience working with leading provider and payer organizations, as well as healthcare policy groups. Prior to joining SCI, Gier held executive-level positions at a number of companies, most recently leading corporate marketing for Edifecs, one of the fastest growing companies in healthcare. She has been responsible for building and managing brands at Microsoft, GE Healthcare, IDX Systems Corporation and several private healthcare and medical device companies. Gier co-led marketing integration for two major industry acquisitions, including GE/IDX and Microsoft/Sentillion.
