OKLAHOMA CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Enable Midstream Partners, LP (NYSE: ENBL) announced today that it has signed several natural gas transportation services agreements and that it will upgrade its Cox City natural gas processing facility located in Grady County, Oklahoma.
The partnership’s Enable Gas Transmission, LLC subsidiary first announced that it has extended its natural gas transportation service agreements with St. Louis-based Laclede Gas Company. The extended contracts will provide up to 135,000 dekatherms per day of firm transportation service for periods ranging from 2 to 5 years.
The partnership’s Enable Oklahoma Intrastate Transmission, LLC subsidiary followed with the announcement that it has signed a long-term contract to provide firm natural gas transportation service to Grand River Dam Authority’s planned 495-megawatt combined cycle power plant in Mayes County, Oklahoma. The contract allows for delivery of up to 84,000 MMBtu per day of natural gas. The new, natural gas-fired power plant is expected to be in service in early 2017.
The partnership also announced plans to upgrade its Cox City natural gas processing facility located in Grady County, Oklahoma, to better serve producers in the South Central Oklahoma Oil Province (SCOOP). The upgrade will improve the efficiency of the Cox City facility to process the increasing supply of rich gas coming from producers in the SCOOP area. The SCOOP, which is located in the Woodford shale, continues to see increased drilling activity due to the higher levels of liquids-rich natural gas that requires enhanced processing capabilities.

The Cox City facility can process approximately 180 MMcfd of natural gas through four processing trains. The upgrade will add refrigeration and stabilization facilities to the plant’s largest processing train, improving the efficiency of the recovery of natural gas liquids.
