“Seeing the extraordinary number from the millennial generation, those born between 1980 and 2000, without job prospects made me realize the dire importance of entrepreneurship,” said event creator and producer Sharon Chen, a millennial herself.
“These recent college grads with advanced degrees suffer from the highest unemployment rate category in the nation despite economic improvements,” said Chen who holds an MBA and a Masters in Advance Finance from Europe’s top business school.
“As an American dreamer myself, I hope to help foster entrepreneurship by launching this expo and inspiring everyone from college graduates to potential investors,” she said.

Sharon Chen’s entrepreneurial path began in Tucson, Arizona with her family of entrepreneurs then to UCLA where she majored in Business Economics and Accounting. She joined Citigroup’s investment banking group, but left to manage the M&A sell-side of her family’s business. After work in the nonprofit arena, she moved to Madrid, Spain and graduated from IE Business School.
