Thomas P. Riley Joins Marcus® Hotels & Resorts and MCS Capital LLC as Senior Vice President - Development

MILWAUKEE--()--The Marcus Corporation (NYSE: MCS) today announced that Thomas P. Riley has been named senior vice president - development for Marcus® Hotels & Resorts and MCS Capital LLC. Riley has 22 years of experience in the lodging industry, including executive-level positions in acquisitions, development and finance.

Riley comes to Marcus Hotels & Resorts and MCS Capital from Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, where he served as vice president acquisitions & development for the past eight years. His responsibilities in this position included identifying potential acquisition, joint venture and third-party management opportunities, financial modeling, analysis and market feasibility studies, and negotiating hotel operating, technical services and purchase and sale agreements. He joined Kimpton in 2002 as regional controller for the company’s eastern region hotels and restaurants, was promoted to regional vice president - finance in 2005 and to his most recent position in 2006.

Riley has also held finance positions with Crestline Hotels and Resorts, Marriott International, Hilton Hotels Corporation and Promus Hotel Corporation. He began his career in 1992 with Embassy Suites.

Riley is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and received an MBA degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University. He has served on the Penn State Hotel and Restaurant Society Board of Directors since 2003, and is currently the board chairman. He also serves on the George Washington University Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management Advisory Board and is an adjunct professor and serves on the Advisory Board of the Anne Arundel Community College School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts in Arnold, Maryland.
