“Transforming health care requires a fully connected health information framework that adheres to regulatory standards. We view this certification as an essential benchmark in our efforts to continually provide the most innovative, open source interoperability tool in the Health IT market,” said Jon Teichrow, senior vice president of research and development for Mirth. “Achieving modular certification underscores our commitment to helping our clients meet the demands of today’s rapidly evolving health care environment.”
The ONC HIT Certification Program certifies that EHRs meet all of the 2014 Edition criteria and that EHR Modules meet one or more – but not all – of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for hospital technology.
“CCHIT congratulates companies that successfully achieve EHR technology certification,” said Alisa Ray, executive director, CCHIT. “These companies are now able to make their products available to providers wishing to adopt health IT to demonstrate Meaningful Use and earn federal incentives.”
