Aiming to reduce the rates of HIV and STD infections among the youth demographic, AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) has teamed up with pop-punk solo performer Eryn Woods, who will be using her spring/summer tour with pop girl group The Millionaires to promote safer sex to their young fan base. The Eryn Woods and The Millionaires tour kicked off last week with four stops in California, and stops in Oregon, Washington, Utah, Colorado, Montana, Ohio, Nevada, and Wisconsin over the next six weeks.

After breaking into the Pacific Northwest with a show last night in Portland, the tour arrives in Seattle on Wednesday, April 30th at 8:00 pm at El Corazon. Each show will feature a performance of the safer sex awareness song composed by Eryn Woods for AHF, “It’s a Wrap,” a message to would-be paramours that the only way they’ll be allowed to get intimate is if they plan to “play it safe” by using a condom. Thousands of free condoms – donated to the tour by AHF – will be distributed at each show.

Though many songs by The Millionaires feature explicit lyrics about casual sex, all of the artists on the tour were excited by the opportunity to pair their party-promoting tunes with important messaging about protecting your health and the health of your partners.

“There are 9 million new infections among young people aged 18 to 24 every year, and that’s not something we can just stand by and accept,” said Eryn Woods. “The Millionaires and I are so honored that young people look up to us and listen to us, and we want to use that as an opportunity to deliver a positive message that could ultimately save a lot of lives.”

With California, Oregon, and Washington under its belt, the tour will progress on to Salt Lake City this weekend before moving on to Colorado next week.
