Interlude CEO Yoni Bloch to Showcase the Power of Interactive Video at the Future of Kids’ TV Summit at MIPTV 2014

Tech Innovator Will Deliver Keynote Highlighting How Interactive Technology Inspires Children’s Creativity and Engagement at International Summit

MIPTV2014

NEW YORK--()--Interlude today announced that CEO Yoni Bloch will be speaking at the MIPTV Future of Kids’ TV Summit as a keynote speaker on the topic “Tuning In without Tuning Out: How Interactive Video Boosts Engagement Among Kids.”

Held each year in Cannes, France, MIPTV is the world’s most established TV and digital content market. The first Future of Kids’ TV Summit will gather creative strategists and visionaries from around the world to address the key issues facing the children’s entertainment industry and to define its future direction. Bloch’s presentation will focus on discovering how interactive videos invite engagement and inspire creativity as kids actively participate in the storytelling process.

“Interactive videos that respond to children’s preferences can transform TV and educational programming from a passive experience to an active one that is fun and engaging. With kids today growing up with interactive devices, they have an appetite to do more with content than sit back and have it delivered to them in a one-way stream,” Bloch said. “With the potential to create wonderful learning experiences for children, The Summit provides a global stage for attendees to make meaningful changes in the technologies used for entertainment and education.”

Founded in 2011, Interlude has emerged into the international spotlight with a number of high profile projects and partnerships. Last week, the company’s global reach was demonstrated in an interactive online advertisement by Pepsi featuring six of the world’s best futbol/soccer players. Effectively fusing futbol and music, the spot weaves the creative and technological elements to produce an innovative piece in which fans can seamlessly unlock additional content.

In February of this year, the company announced “Tribeca & Interlude: A Music Film Challenge,” a unique opportunity for filmmakers from around the world to reimagine storytelling by creating an interactive music film for three different music tracks. Winners will be announced April 14.

Interlude also helped produce the first-ever music video for Bob Dylan’s iconic hit “Like a Rolling Stone” in November 2013. The interactive video quickly went viral, racking up more than a million views in the first 24 hours. Hailed as “an interactive masterpiece,” the video has received international recognition and numerous awards, including being named the top music video of 2013 by TIME magazine.
