WOODLAND HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Essia Health today announced the appointment of four new members to its executive leadership team. The expanded senior leadership team brings experience in healthcare and informatics, as well as in building, managing and marketing Fortune 500 companies.
The new executive leadership team members are Tad Piper, chief financial officer; Todd Robin, vice president of commercial operations; Shelby Robinson, vice president of human resources; and Anthony Zuanich, vice president of business development. These appointments follow the February announcement that Matthew Kirchner was selected as president and chief executive officer, and founder Kathleen Myers, M.D., was appointed chief medical officer and maintains a board seat. Dr. Myers will continue to be located in Essia Health’s Portland office, while the rest of the team will be based in the company’s new Woodland Hills office.

Tad Piper, chief financial officer, has held a range of senior leadership and financial positions in the technology and healthcare industries. His expertise lies in developing operational efficiency and process improvement to allow for growth and scalability. Prior to joining Essia Health, Piper ran a number of start-up organizations focusing on financial services compliance, data management, pharmacy management and point-of-sale software solutions. He began his career in financial services as an international investor before becoming a nationally recognized software research analyst based in Silicon Valley. Piper received his bachelor’s degree from Williams College and a graduate diploma in financial analysis from Stirling University in Scotland. He is also a chartered financial analyst.
Todd Robin, vice president of commercial operations, is responsible for the planning and delivery of all customer programs and for marketing operations. He brings a global healthcare perspective shaped by his deep experience building international growth businesses in the U.S., Western Europe, India, China, Japan and the ASEAN region. Prior to joining Essia Health, Robin spent eight years at Medtronic. He has held various positions in international public health with a focus on optimizing healthcare delivery systems, informing health policy through research, and developing new technology platforms to transform patient care. Robin holds a master of business administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, a master's degree in health science from the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor's degree from Amherst College.
Shelby Robinson, vice president of human resources, is responsible for leading the organization's human resources function and delivering business results by supporting organizational growth and development. She brings more than 20 years of progressive human resources experience. Prior to joining Essia Health, Robinson was vice president of human resources at International House of Pancakes, LLC. She has held executive positions with leading companies, including The Home Depot, Mars, Inc., and McDonald's Corporation. Robinson has bachelor’s degree in history from Howard University.
Anthony Zuanich, vice president of business development, is responsible for developing new business partnerships. He is a 20-year veteran of sales management and business development assignments in the technology and services industry, including leadership positions at Fortune 500 companies including ADP, Accenture, Aon and Thomson Reuters. Zuanich's career assignments have seen significantly increased revenue, improved client retention and profitability. Zuanich received his business degree from New Mexico State University, and a master of business administration degree from Saint Mary's College in Moraga, Calif.
