FRANKFURT, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A total of 70 companies from Hong Kong are expected at the International Hardware Fair which will be taking place in Cologne from March 9 to 12, 2014. Thereof, 21 (2012: 26) will be presenting their product range on the combined stand of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) in Hall 3.1 (A-018). Whether tools, machinery, parts or protective clothing, the companies offer a wide variety for the hardware market.
Hong Kong exports a large range of building materials and hardware. In 2013, the metropolis recorded an export growth of 6.5 per cent to USD 17.9 billion. Main export markets were China (+9.3 per cent), USA (+6.4 per cent), Japan (-3.2 per cent) and Germany (-4.5 per cent). Along with building materials and hardware, demand also grew for so-called DIY (Do-It-Yourself) products such as floor coverings, wallpaper, paints and fittings. Electrical tools were also in much demand. Hong Kong companies also meet the demand for so-called “Green Building” technology including wall and roof insulation systems. Imports into the metropolis also showed a positive development (+5.9 per cent, USD 19.6 billion).

Torches, spotlights and lighting solutions are being showcased by Kingslite Technology Company Limited (D-013) and Favour Light Company Limited (E-018, F-019) among others. Buyers will find industrial cutting machines, saws, drilling machines and toolboxes at Hong Kong Yengtin International Limited (C-018) and PMCB (Group) Limited (E-019).
Ladders, scaffolding materials and painting requirements are being exhibited by Aluminium (HK) Industrial Company Limited (A-012), Innomax Technology (HK) Company Limited (B-012) and ONB Hardware Factory (China) Limited (C-010). Products for garden design and maintenance are available from Polytex (Far East) Limited (D-018); display stands from Racking Mission Company (A-014) and measuring tools from Wing On Wong’s King (Trade) Limited (D-010).
