DENVER--()--Today, Denver Investments named nine business leaders to serve on its new Advisory Board, according to John Roberts, a partner at the firm, who will provide direct oversight of the firm’s Workplace Equality Index™. The professionals will have responsibility for approving changes to the Index and its rules, and for providing feedback and seasoned perspectives on marketing strategies for the Index and related investments.

The Workplace Equality Index™ is a stock index that includes many of America’s leading equality-minded corporations. It consists of publicly-traded companies that support lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality in the workplace. Companies in the Index must score 100% on the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index or, if not found in the Corporate Equality Index, have the verifiable characteristics that would earn them such a score. The Index was created by Denver Investments at the request of its clients and incepted in 2001.

Roberts said that, “Our independent advisory board provides valuable feedback and perspective on marketing strategies for the Index and related investments. Each individual was chosen for both his or her financial acumen and community leadership.”
