NORTH READING, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The sixth annual Device Test Seminar series hosted by Teradyne, Inc. (NYSE: TER) attracted 1,000 engineers from over 100 companies located throughout Asia, including China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines and Taiwan. The technical seminars showcased strategies to address the testing requirements of the latest device technologies and provided test engineers with an understanding of test techniques that enable improved test quality, faster time-to-market and reduced cost of test.
“Helping our customers tackle their test challenges is a key priority at Teradyne," said Randy Kramer, manager, Teradyne's SOC Factory Applications Engineering Organization. "Participation in the Device Test Seminars has grown over 200% since 2009 when we had just 300 participants. Customers count on Teradyne products and industry-leading test expertise to implement the best test solutions for their devices."
"Semiconductor devices are constantly evolving and test engineers need to be one-step ahead of technology trends to make sure products are developed correctly," said Yoshiaki Kodashiro, chief specialist, Toshiba Corporation Semiconductor & Storage Products Company. "The added challenges we face are to get products to market quickly with the lowest cost-of-test. The topics covered in Teradyne's seminar series are very valuable because they address the challenges and provide ideas for us to solve them."
The Device Test Seminars are just one of Teradyne's annual knowledge sharing events. In addition, Teradyne hosts the Teradyne Users Group (TUG) conference to provide additional opportunities for Teradyne employees and customers to share the latest test knowledge.
